These commitments provide a foundation for environmental awareness and stewardship within Eventfinda. We’re aiming to consciously take meaningful actions that move us towards a greater level of sustainability.
Compliance
- We adhere to all relevant New Zealand environmental legislation, regulations, and appropriate guidelines.
- We stay informed about changes in environmental laws and best practice, and update our processes accordingly.
Efficiency
- We implement energy-saving measures in our office, such as ensuring air conditioning systems are automatically switched off after hours.
- We are mindful of the energy impact of our data centre configuration, optimising the energy needs of server platforms and workloads where possible.
- We encourage clients and customers to choose digital tickets over paper where possible, and endeavour to create digital workflows for contracts, reporting, and event build information.
- We regularly seek to identify key areas where we can reduce our carbon footprint and resource consumption.
- We are mindful of reducing our water usage in the office.
Waste
- We recycle paper, plastics, electronics where possible, and any other recyclable materials.
- We properly dispose of technology and other non-recyclable waste at both our office and event locations, in accordance with relevant local council guidelines.
- We encourage our team to minimise waste through mindful consumption, including in the preparation of all event-related materials.
Procurement
- Where possible we prioritise purchasing products and services from suppliers who demonstrate environmental responsibility.
- We incorporate environmental criteria into our supplier selection process.
Training
- We provide resources and kōrero to help our team understand environmental issues and how Eventfinda’s processes can be more sustainable.
- We encourage staff participation in sustainability initiatives, and regularly ask for feedback on how we can improve in this area.
Collaboration
- We work with venues and event organisers to identify environmentally friendly event day practices.
- We discuss our sustainability objectives with clients and encourage their participation.
