Do you want to give your kids the gift of beach fun and excitement these holidays? Do you want them to enjoy the magic of the water in a safe and supportive environment? If so, then you don’t want to miss the chance to enrol them in our amazing Surf Safety Camp run by The Y!

New Zealand is blessed with amazing beaches and coastlines, but every summer we see news headlines about what can go wrong. Our Surf Safety camps give Kiwi kids the gift of a safe and fun life on the water.

Working in partnership with Sunset Beach SLSC Surf Lifesaving, NZ Sports Fishing Council, Coastguard Safe boating, and Surfing NZ Wave Warriors, The Y is committed to teaching vital safety knowledge and skills in a beach environment that will deliver lifelong memories and experiences.

What's included:

5-day, 4-night camp
Four specialist beach safety education modules with professional instruction
All activity equipment provided
Shared accommodation in cabin-style bunkrooms

Our camps are designed to be a place where children and young people can explore nature, make friends, have fun, be adventurous and most importantly, create wonderful memories. Camp is also a time when children develop understandings of the world, their own power, and skills to change the world.

All our camps are run by qualified and experienced staff who will always ensure your child’s safety and well-being. Our camps are also affordable and accessible, with pick up/drop off options available!
