Footloose

Join Kāpiti College as they present Footloose, the musical. Full of high-energy dancing and singing, this is a show you don’t want to miss! The show is packed with top-ten hits from the past like “Almost Paradise,” “Let’s Hear It for the Boy,” “Holding Out for a Hero,” and the title track “Footloose.” The musical celebrates the exhilaration of youth, the wisdom of listening to one another, and the power of forgiveness.

Based on the hit film of 1984, Footloose tells the story of Ren who moves from Chicago to a small town and finds that wide open spaces sometimes come with very narrow minds. As the town copes with a tragedy, the influential Reverend Moore has banned dancing and rock music. Pretty soon, Ren is the rebel with a cause, winning over the hearts (and feet!) of the whole community.
