Fungi are different from plants, they have their own biological kingdom. Geoff Ridley will guide two walks on consecutive Sundays. The first will be a basic introduction to the enormous fungi kingdom and learning about where to find them. The second tour will delve deeper into the fascinations of our fungi kingdom.
12th May | Introduction to the fungi kingdom: During this walk, Geoff will give you a basic introduction to the enormous fungi kingdom and teach you where to find some fascinating fungi.
19th May | A deeper dive into the fungi kingdom: Geoff will take you on a deeper dive into the fascinations of our fungi kingdom during this walk.
Meet at Tāne Whakapiripiri, Ōtari Visitor Centre. It is easy walking and family groups are welcome. This walk may take up to 2hrs.
This is part of the Ōtari-Wilton’s Bush Trust’s annual autumn guided walks programme.
