Toitū has many stories to share about Otago’s Chinese migrants, an important community who first came to Otago during the 1860s gold rush and stayed to establish some of the city's businesses. This contribution played a large part in making Dunedin New Zealand's leading commercial centre.
Take a journey through the museum to discover some of these stories, then head over to the Lan Yuan entrance to complete your own Pai Lau drawing.
