Bachata Level 2 Summer Course

Bachata is a smooth and sexy partner dance originating the Dominican Republic. Originally the music was a fusion of Bolero and Cuban Son. Over the years Bachata has undertaken dramatic changes from the very traditional sound of its creation to where it has merged with other contemporary genres such as Jazz, R&B and Hip Hop as well as other Latin rhythms like Merengue and Cha Cha. Instruments have been replaced which eventually gave it the bachata sound we are familiar with today

The saying nowadays goes "Bachata is taking over!" and it could possibly be true as it is currently rivaling Salsa for the top spot as the most popular Latin dance style! Bachata has exploded in popularity mainly due to the music remixes, simple steps and sensual nature. Its very easy to learn and still remains challenging for those who want to explore the trends and dig deeper in the roots of Bachata.

Gian has completely updated and improved the curriculum for the bachata courses making it a lot more structured, progressive and easier to follow and understand! The new Bachata curriculum has gotten a complete makeover and we are super excited about rolling out these newly structured courses in the new year!

In level 2 we will start moving into Bachata Sensual, which means we will put more emphasis on fluid body movement in partners as it is the typical characteristic of Bachata Sensual.

Join us for Bachata dancing! This course is a level 2 course meaning it is suitable for those have completed level 1 and/or are already familiar with the bachata basics. This course is not suitable for complete beginners to bachata.

Join us for our 4-day intensive summer courses! Summer is the season when we want to get away and do different things all the time to make the most of summer!

Therefore instead of committing to an 8-week course why not do an intensive 4-day course to get your dance fix! Try different styles and still have the freedom to plan a getaway here and there over summer! ...and it will be a quick and easy way to get you having fun on the dance floor in a short amount of time.

No partner necessary! You can come on your own as we rotate partners and everybody gets a chance to meet and dance with everyone.
