Artist as the Vendor | Album as the Menu | Music as the Meal

Step into VENDOR, a week-long intersectional multimedia installation that sees the storage room at Lim Chhour Food Court transformed into an interactive shop front. Artist Jefferson Chen of Goodspace serves an immersive album listening experience, one track at a time.

Featuring tracks from Goodspace’s upcoming debut album 'Let’s Talk About Death', visitors are invited to engage with the artist during shop hours, ordering tracks from the ‘menu’ and listening to their ‘meals’ through personal listening devices. Or join us for a ‘group dining’ experience at set times each day to enjoy the full feast of the album. With each ‘meal’ tallied like music royalties against the backdrop of Lim Chhour, VENDOR serves to recontextualise what it means for an artist to hustle for their work, reframe conversations around death while paying tribute to the familiar migrant stories of Aotearoa.

FREE, BYO headphones to visit anytime during shop hours or pre-book for a ‘Group Dining’ experience.
