The Incubator

A Curated Open, Group Show exploring the world of William Shakespeare with a twist, facilitated by the local group – Shakespeare in the Village.

A local open artists call out has resulted in a show presenting each artists own unique creative interpretation of the bard, his plays, sonnets, or the Elizabethan age. With all mediums from painting to sculpture reflecting each artists views from bizarre to conventional, uncontrolled to subtle, you are guaranteed an Exhibition not to be missed.

This open exhibition runs concurrently with the Shakespeare Festival, held in The Historic Village, Tauranga. The group running the Shakespeare Festival (Craft) after performing successful shows for the last two years, wants to expand the theme to include the visual arts.

If you want to exhibit in this exhibition, it is still open for submissions and delivery of artwork until 8th April. Please contact the convener: Ann Dugmore 027 410 2074, or eanndugmore@yahoo.co.uk.

Opening preview Friday 12th April, 5.30pm to 7.00pm. Cash Bar. Everyone welcome.
On display in The People's Gallery Toi ka rere from the 13th April to the 4th May 2024. Open 10am - 3pm Monday to Saturday.
