Meditation Drum Circle: Journey to Inner Spaciousness with Neil Jourdan

You are warmly invited to join this evening of meditative drumming exploring the use of rhythm, breath and song to journey to a restorative place of calm, peace and presence. Drumming naturally draws us into the present, supports mindfulness, meditation and transformation. For centuries it has been used to enter into altered states of consciousness for healing, ceremony and journeying.

The session will start with some brief drumming instruction followed by one or two rhythm sessions. Each session will organically evolve as we explore rhythm, breath and song/voice. If you do not have a drum you are still welcome to attend as there will be a range of smaller percussion available for you to use to contribute to the session.

The evening will be facilitated by Neil Jourdan from Feather Song Drums. Neil is a registered music therapist, drummer and percussionist. He has been involved in drumming for the past 20 years, has worked across a number of sectors and crafts Shamanic inspired medicine drums (#feathersongdrums). Neil is deeply passionate about the curative power that sacred drumming holds and sharing this with others.
