Marlborough Horticultural Society Spring Show

The Marlborough Horticultural Society are holding their annual Spring Show on Saturday 14th September. They hold three shows per year and the Spring one (The 'Daffodil Show') is particularly exciting as it showcases the best of the region's spring flowers. There will be all types of daffodil classes, also camellias and spring flowering shrubs and a multitude of spring flowers including violets, primroses, marigolds, pansies and spring bulbs.

This year the Marlborough Floral Art Group are hosting the Top of the South Floral Art Society competition at the Spring Show, (involving Buller, Nelson and Marlborough Societies), so we will have wonderful floral displays to enjoy as well. The Floral Society have managed to book the very talented 2022 Auckland Designer of the Year, Vanita Patel, to demonstrate a range of floral designs. Vanita will be demonstrating from 10.30am - 12.30pm in the Church itself. An additional gold coin donation will be requested at the Church door for this fabulous event.

The Orchid Society and Bonsai group will be represented and there will be many sales tables to buy spring and summer plants. There are classes for children, including sand saucers and novelty vegetables and also an indoor plant section. Come along to St Christopher's Church Hall at Redwoodtown from 10am - 3pm and support the Spring Show! Entry is just $2 and there is a raffle sponsored by Mitre 10 MEGA Marlborough and complimentary tea and coffee.
