Katrina Cosgrove:
My artistic inspiration and creativity originates from a deep rooted connection with nature, landscapes and botanicals.

My most recent artwork is inspired by New Zealand’s incredible landscapes, lush native bush and ocean vistas. The textures and colors of the land, ocean and plant life are evident in each piece.

Ever since I can remember, I have been creating and playing with art. I have a vivid imagination and keen eye for detail and color. My intention is to create eye-catching artwork with a botanical, floral or landscape theme.

Since a young age I enjoyed drawing and painting, playing with colors and textures. Over time, I have experimented with a variety of different mediums. I am experienced in painting with oils, pastels, acrylic and using a range of different processes. This has enabled me to develop my own fluid art techniques, and in turn, combining them with more traditional painting methods. This has really helped my artwork stand out in this field. Each piece of artwork is unique to my style, full of detail, and dazzling with color. The more you look into each piece, the more you see.

I particularly love that I am able to create beautiful works of art using earth's elements - water, fire and airflow. This goes hand in hand with my connection to nature and the artwork I produce.

To me, art is not just about what I see, but what it can inspire others to see. This is the amazing thing about what I do.

My aim is to evoke a connection and sense of meaning between the viewer and my paintings. To highlight nature’s many gifts and to bring a sense of deep-seated calm, intrigue, grounding and presence.
