Tēnā koutou,

We’re hosting a community event centred around menstruation cycles and how they affect people who experience them. Our intention is to support and open the cycle conversation, share information and bring people together to give space to our bodies, their rhythms and existing within them.

The kaupapa of our coming together is having a beautiful and open conversation where we are visible and valued as an individual and as a collective.

We’ll also come together to share kai with a potluck after the circle, and are running a Menstrual Product Drive to donate to charity.

————————————————————————————————————

*This is a space for anyone who feels it is for them*

The Cycle Circle is a coming together for people that are drawn to this conversation. All voices are welcome. This could include (but definitely not limited to) people:
- experiencing periods/perimenopause/menopause
- experiencing hormonal treatments
- with health conditions that affect their menstruation/reproductive system
- with gender related experiences
- with disability related experiences
- practicing cultural and indigenous ways around menstruation
- who’ve experienced medical trauma regarding their menstruation

Presence and representation are really important in this conversation, our collective experience and healing is all about who is in the room!

**Accessibility** The upstairs at Vogelmorn Bowling Club is not accessible for wheelchairs, so please let us know if this is a barrier so we can help eliminate it!

————————————————————————————————————

What to expect:

Doors open at 4:45, please arrive before 5 to settle into the space. By being there on time, we hope to create a container for this conversation that feels safe, avoiding new people coming in later and disrupting the group.

We’ll begin with welcoming and grounding in the space to build, Anna will hold a meditation to come into our bodies and Monique will run a get to know you game.

Our guest speaker(s) will talk and share information about menstruation and cycles.

Chairs and comfy seating will be set up for you to settle into the space

————————————————————————————————————

What to bring:

Journal and pen for taking notes
A plate of kai to share (labelled for any dietary requirements)
Any spare period products you would like to donate

————————————————————————————————————

Menstrual Product Drive

Menstrual products can be unaffordable for some people in New Zealand, so we would like to take the opportunity to collect menstrual products (tampons, pads, moon cups etc.) to donate to those in need. This is a voluntary donation with no expectations.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions or comments!
