Dunedin musician David Burchell and Auckland-based viol player Polly Sussex will be presenting a concert of baroque music for viola da gamba (the precursor of the cello) and harpsichord. Performing on modern copies of eighteenth-century instruments, they hope to thrill their audiences with the intimate sound of rarely heard instruments and repertoire.
Programme includes music by J.S. Bach, C.P.E. Bach, Francois Couperin, Georg Telemann and Carl Abel.
