Dunedin musician David Burchell and Auckland-based viol player Polly Sussex will be presenting a concert of baroque music for viola da gamba (the precursor of the cello) and harpsichord. Performing on modern copies of eighteenth-century instruments, they hope to thrill their audiences with the intimate sound of rarely heard instruments and repertoire.

Programme includes music by J.S. Bach, C.P.E. Bach, Francois Couperin, Georg Telemann and Carl Abel.

This programme may also be heard at:

All Saints' Church Dunedin Saturday 5 October at 7.30pm

Iona Church, Port Chalmers Sunday 6 October at 5.00pm

The church, Bannockburn Friday 11 October at 7.30pm

Admission $30 (concessions $25, students $10; accompanied children free) at the door (cash and bank transfer only, no eftpos)
