Association Croquet is the earliest form of croquet played in New Zealand, and has been played in Canterbury since the early 1900s. The Women's AC World Championship has attracted 40 players from seven countries including New Zealand. The current title holder, Miranda Chapman and the World No 1 woman player, Dr Jenny Clarke (ChCh) are representing New Zealand. The Championship is being hosted by United Croquet Club with games also being played at Cashmere Croquet Club and St James Croquet Club. All finals, Trophy, Plate, and Bowl will be played at United on Saturday 14th.
