West African Drumming and Dance Workshop

Come and enjoy a taste of Africa here in Wanaka and take time for yourself for one day of the week.
Join us for a wonderful opportunity to explore the rhythms, songs, and dances of West Africa, as well as the stories behind them, led by master drummer, dancer, and composer, Koffie Fugah and supported by the expert dance teacher, Agbeko De-Souza. Both are from the Volta Region of Ghana and have many years of experience as teachers and performers.

Community workshops with Koffie and Agbeko are fun and inclusive for all levels and experiences as you learn from an indigenous source based right here in Aotearoa, New Zealand. There is no expectation apart from the willingness to give it a go! You will leave feeling energized and inspired! Here we come, WANAKA!!!
