The smell of Coal Smoke, and sights and sounds of Steam........ Re-live the Grand Old Days of Rail Travel this Sunday!
*Steam Loco A64 will haul Rides every half an hour from 11am - last train departs 3.30pm.
* The Ashburton Steam & Model Engineers will have miniature Train rides operating (weather permitting) - $2 per person, cash only. Find them by the hill in the Carpark area.
* Take in the sights and sounds of the Stationary Engine display & view Vintage Tractors and machinery. Watch the Blacksmiths at work.
* Explore the Museum Village Displays: (Print Works, Market, Waterton Church, Cottage & more)
* Visit the Ashburton Fire Museum (housing an amazing collection of local Volunteer Firefighting Equipment and memorabilia, kids can try on a real uniform and take a ride with Fireman Sam!
*See the Ashburton Woodworkers in their Workshop - browse over their amazing Sales Table of unique items.
*Find The Lynn Woodwork Museum under the Clocktower in the Carpark area, housing a unique collection of 'woodturning Tools and exhibits.
* Hot Food available with Nigendy's, great Coffee & Cold Drinks available from Toni with The Shot Ash/Rakaia.
* Inflatable fun for the kids with the Popup Playground (weather permitting).
* Free fun for the kids: Outdoor Vintage games, colouring activities and an Activity Hunt.
