Sri Chakra Dance Group is proud to host its inaugural production show "Matha, Pitha, Guru, Deivam" on Feb 24th, 2023 7pm at Little theatre Lower Hutt.
This inaugural production Dance & Music Show will showcase various Indian Dance forms such as - Bharatanatyam , Mohiniyattam, Kuchipudi, Kathak, Semi classical & Folk Dances from Tamil Nadu & Kerala. The dances have been choreographed by Mrs. Radhika Ravi, founder of the Sri Chakra Dance Group.
The show will also feature a mini Carnatic (South Indian classical) music concert.
About the group:
The Sri Chakra Dance Group has been performing for the past 18 years at various events in Wellington (such as Wellington City Council Diwali, Indian & Pan Asia programs at New Zealand Parliament, Hutt City Multifest). The objective of this group is to promote South Indian classical, semi-classical & folk-dance forms in Wellington.

This event is supported by The Hindu Council of New Zealand. Part of the proceeds will be donated to the Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple of Wellington.
