Each month, Toitū and the Centre for Global Migrations, University of Otago, invite different speakers to highlight the stories of Otago’s wide and varying migrant history. From early Māori-European encounters to modern refugees, and everyone in between, this series will barely break the surface on our region’s rich history of migration.

This November, the fifth presentation in the series, Associate Professor Jacqueline Leckie will shed some light on the loneliness felt by migrants to this quiet young region.

2pm, Friday 24 November
Toitū Auditorium
