Gisborne Canoe and Tramping Club, Pakihi Track

This is a long, gently sidling benched track from the Motu Road down to the Pakihi River, which has been developed as a cycleway. Walk beneath tall tawa/beech forest with emergent rimu and matai on steep, dry slopes, followed by lunch at the Pakihi Hut. Then retrace our steps back to Motu Road.
