Join The Arts Society Hawke's Bay on Monday 6th November at 7pm at the Havelock North Function Centre to hear Gillian Hovell, archaeologist, ancient history specialist and BBC presenter talk about how to understand ancient art and architecture. Gillian's talk "A Mediterranean Tour - Not just a load of old stones" explores the self-expression found in different cultural sites and how this can help us understand earlier civilisations.
We are a membership organisation but to attend as a guest there is a fee of $25 / $10 for students which includes wine, tea or coffee, sandwiches and something sweet, all served afterwards and enjoyed whilst talking to others and an opportunity to meet Gillian Hovell.
See https://www.dfasnz.org.nz/hawkes-bay/ for more details and to book a place or email us at hawkesbay@theartssociety.org
Please arrive at the Magdalinos Room, Havelock North Function Centre, 30 Te Mata Road, Havelock North to be seated by 6:50pm as we start promptly at 7pm.
