Peter Medhurst, a musician and scholar, gives recitals and gives illustrated talks on music and the arts. Peter studied at the Royal College of Music in London and the Mozarteum in Salzburg. Peter has recorded his own music and presents on Classic FM, Radio 3 and Radio 4 in the UK. This talk will illustrate how the “glory of Venice” was also the beginning of Venice’s decline. There is a fee of $25 / $10 for students which includes wine, tea or coffee, sandwiches and something sweet, all served afterwards and enjoyed whilst talking to others.
