The famous Quantum Shorts Film Festival is on again! Come view the best of the festival in the planetarium, plus fun science demos, delicious (and free) platters from Precinct Foods, and a cash bar.

Quantum mechanics is often described as counterintuitive – although it underwrites our reality, it follows very different rules – we
cannot walk through two doors at once, but particles can.

Quantum physics opens doors to worlds of weird and wonderful possibilities. Something can be in two places at one time or in two 'states' at once: the cat is both alive and dead inside the box; quantum entanglement, when two particles link together in a certain way no matter how far apart they are in space; and multiple Universes, as shown in the film Sliding Doors – where every action or decision you make creates a universe.

The team will also show you some amazing demos. You will get to see superconductors in action, "holograms”, cloaking devices,
UV-reactive board and more!
