“Ukraine is in my Heart” aims to raise funds for Ukraine volunteer charity БФ "Благодійні серця"/CF "Charity Hearts".
The event will feature Ukrainian dishes cooked by Ukrainians and members of the Paekākāriki community.
Music: a classical programme organised by cellist Janet Holborow featuring Kāpiti musicians:
Accordionist Melissa Garber, of Ukrainian descent, will play with Strung Out.
Other musicians include Zephyr Wills, winner of the prestigious Heuser Viola Award, Rebekah Grieg, a former Australasian accordion champion, and Ruslan Vorobey who will perform on violin.
Speakers: Mayor K.Gurunathan, former Prime Minister Jim Bolger, and Kāpiti local New Zealand Ukrainian Sergiy Vorobey.
Top quality items and services donated by the local business community and individuals will be up for grabs.
*Doors open 6.30pm.
*Tickets include entry and dinner.
*Please bring cash for the raffle.
*A bank account number will also be available for online payments.
