The Incubator

The People’s Gallery - Toi ka rere is proud to host Whakatāne artists Tame Iti and Joanne Black with their collaborative exhibition.

This exhibition will be one of the main features of the Incubator Creative Hub’s Matariki visual arts programme.

Tame will showcase a selection of his unique sculptures whilst Joanne will showcase her distinctive surrealist Tupuna mirrors.

Tame Iti is known as many things - activist, artist, and cyclist. Joanne promotes the Māori world view with the aim to keep Matauranga Māori alive.

The exhibition launches on the 2nd of June, 5:30pm at the Historic Village Tauranga, with special guest performer Whirimako Black.

On display in The People's Gallery - Toi ka rere, 3rd June - 10th July.
