The Source to Sea team has begun planting and we're keen for your help!

This 9-hectare area of DOC recreation reserve, at the southern end of Long Beach, will be restored to native dune habitat, with a wide range of common and rare native plants.

We have 34,000 plants to go in this year alone. Plus, a walking track for your enjoyment.

We need volunteer help with all stages (site preparation, planting and maintenance).

We hold working bees on Wednesdays and weekends for community or business groups or anyone who is interested!

We will provide everything you need, including a free sausage sizzle with sausages kindly provided by Deep Creek Deli!

Please contact jeanne@haloproject.org.nz if you can help, or just come along to the next scheduled planting day!

Upcoming planting days are:

Sun 25 September
Sat 1 October
Wed 5 October
Wed 12 October
Sat 15 October

Wed 19 October
