This is a Music Production 1 day follow-up course for women, femmes and non binary people. We've laid the foundations for making your own original music from scratch in our Music Production 2 day courses. Now we'll build on those foundations with a specially created follow-up day of learning in a supportive environment. This welcoming and cohesive day will go deeper into the Bass-ics of electronic music production, with 3 expert tutors Paige Julia, Ed Zuccollo and Huia Hamon.
We've shaped the course content to cover effective music production workflow to help you build and finish tracks, take a deeper dive into using effects, getting to the point of releasing music, and shaping your brand and career. All the good stuff you need to help you continue on your musical journey!
The overall purpose of these courses is to get more women/femmes/non-binary people making their own original electronic music, so that we change the diversity of who's getting booked as headliners for festivals and gigs. You'll need to keep putting time into making your music, but this is a fantastic in-depth session to help you keep learning more production skills and feeling motivated with your music.
This is a weekend in-person course, running Sat 9 Jul, 10am - 5pm. The tutors are all highly experienced musicians and producers each with 10 - 20 years experience in the field.
Course outline: (10am - 5pm)
10am: Intro/welcome to course

Who is this for?
Women, femmes and non-binary people who have either:
- already attended the 2 day Music Production Weekend Course with The Sensonauts,
- or have already begun their music production journey and have started using a music production software / digital audio workstation.
Please note this course is not suitable for beginners because we have already covered beginner content such as basic functions and terminology in the 2 day course. If you're a beginner, consider attending the upcoming 2 day course in Wellington, or wait to see if another 2 day course happens in future.
