Lantern Making Workshop

Seasonal Sessions will be held to celebrate the seasons of the year. We will do crafts suited to the season, and invite the sharing of stories about what this time of year means for us in our own lives, in the cultures we have come from, and in this land we call home, Aotearoa.

The first of our Seasonal Sessions is a Lantern-Making Workshop in the days and weeks leading up to Winter Solstice and Matariki.

We will learn how to make lanterns from bamboo and repurposed fabrics, ready to light in welcome of the stars of Matariki, and the new sun of the Winter Solstice or Yule.
