'Oro Atu - Oro Mai'
Orooro atu, ororo mai - sound going out, sound going in. How does sound converse with other sounds outside of the realm of speech? How do the sounds of changing environments feed into our music-making? And how does our music-making feed into the changing environment?
Join 'CUZZIN$'; the duo of Zak Argabrite (Cherokee) and Ruby Solly (Kāi Tahu, Waitaha, Kāti Māmoe) as they collaborate with the flora, fauna, and elements within Ōtari with taonga pūoro and clarinets. Each performance is done in collaboration with each new space, showing the subtle changes in sound across the ngāhere as it breathes and grows.
This is a drop-in, free event. Just come along to Ōtari between 10am and 2pm and follow the music!
