Jamie Pye Quartet

The last concert for the WJC 2022 headliner series is the Jamie Pye Quartet. Jamie Pye is a Melbourne/Wellington-based guitarist and composer. Having studied at both The Victorian College of the Arts in Melbourne and the New Zealand School of Music in Wellington, Jamie creates music that conveys an honest sense of storytelling and narrative. His compositions take influence from all genres and musical traditions, however, draw closely towards the work of composers and bandleaders Brian Blade, Kendrick Scott, Petros Klampanis and Aaron Parks.

Joining Jamie Pye (Guitar) will be Ben Stewart (piano), Umar Zakaria (bass) and Lennox Grootjans (drums).

Lovebite is an intimate venue with shared seating. It is recommended that you arrive early to secure a seat as some seats have limited views of the band.
