We apologise we have had to postpone our Guided Walk Nature. A new date will be announced shortly.
Join Maddy for a walk to explore the park and delve into our connection with nature.
This walk will cover a broad cross-section of the elements of Cornwall Park ecology and how all of nature's elements connect. We will explore things ranging from trees to birds and even our sheep poo! This walk is crafted for people who are new to the world of ecology. It is suitable for all ages, but children must be accompanied by caregivers.
Registration is essential and numbers are limited.
Please dress for the weather conditions, wear sturdy shoes and bring a drink bottle with you.
Location: Meet at Huia Lodge Discovery Hub (next to the Cornwall Park Bistro)
Your guide
Maddy used to work at Cornwall Park as part of the Huia Lodge Discovery Hub team where she designed trails, wrote a lot of ecology content and greeted visitors. She now spends her time working at Kelmarna Gardens where she is the chief composter, managing Soil Factory, their community composting social enterprise. In this role she supports local businesses and residents to join the circular local food loop, reclaiming organic resources and creating living compost to support our food production.
