In this series of 1 hr Evening talks you’ll hear from people Restoring Relationships for the wellbeing of our environment and community. From lakes, mauri, gullies to native birds you’ll be educated, inspired and better connected to the restoration work happening around our region, and the people and groups behind it.

25 May speaker: Deniz Ozkundakci
Lake restoration is a challenge, with a multi-stressor environment, from invasive organisms to climate change.
In this talk Deniz will provide an overview of existing and emerging restoration methods that are relevant for the peat lakes in the Waikato region, and highlight key challenges for restoring shallow lakes in general.
