Encrusted - Liz Sharek

Liz Sharek moved to New Zealand over 30 years ago from London to work as a physiotherapist but as her interest in object making became more apparent she enrolled as a full time student in the Craft and Design degree at UNITEC and later obtained a MAD (Masters in Art and Design) from AUT (Auckland University of Technology).

Liz's work has developed from a more craft based perspective of her initial training to embrace a more conceptual approach.

Liz has exhibited widely in New Zealand and Overseas and her work is represented in a number of public collections including that of Te Papa (The National Museum of New Zealand) in Wellington and The Ebletoft Glass Museum in Denmark
