Selwyn Community Education is based at Selwyn College, Kohimarama, Auckland.

This course starts on Tuesday 31 May 2022. Classes are 7 - 9 PM over four Tuesdays.

This is a fun and very practical course for people of all ages needing to cook for one. You may want to re-kindle an interest in cooking or start from scratch. You may have always had someone cook for you and now you want to learn to cook for yourself.

Come and learn how to cook a variety of simple, healthy, delicious food, including snacks and desserts. You can say goodbye to processed foods and say hello to being creative in the kitchen.

Over the four classes you will learn:
- Basic cooking techniques
- Cost-effective tips for buying ingredients
- Meal planning
- How to make the most of seasonal food to eat well
- How to safely store leftover meals and the advantages of freezing
- How to transform basic ingredients into fuss-free meals
- Prepare some classic dishes

At the end of this course you will not only feel more confident with your cooking skills but you will be able to incorporate all these ideas and practical tips into stress-free cooking experiences!

Course fee includes $40.00 for ingredients.
