ThE "narrative" Exhibition opened Friday 25 November and is open for 6 weeks at The Little Black Gallery

The exhibition focuses on everyone's need for connection with others, a need brought into focus during times of uncertainty. Narrative celebrates this connectivity and the unity, growth and joy that arises from it.

Connecting to others is very important - now more than ever. Real connection is more than just talking to others or sharing interests. It is a sense of being open and available to another person, even as you feel they are open and available to you. Other ingredients of human connection are empathy and compassion – we feel goodwill to the person we are connecting with.

Social connection can lower anxiety and depression, help us regulate our emotions, lead to higher self-esteem and empathy, and actually improve our immune systems. Connecting to others brings joy and growth.

Narrative embraces the concept and importance of connection and the happiness and strength it can bring everyone.

The exhibition features Catherine Dunn, Jasmine Keir, Karen Vernon, Linz Hart-macdiarmid and Mike Nettmann
