See the world how the future does, in Through The Eye of Whakatū. A group of Whakatū tamariki have been exploring climate change through the lens of a camera.

Through workshopping climate issues with earth scientists Dr Jamey Stutz and Claudia Moore, and learning the tools from professional photographers Raymond Sagapolutele and Tatsiana Chypsanava, our young people are empowered to capture and converse from their unique points of view.

Experience a wonderful selection of powerful statements and photographs sharing how deeply these students view climate change.

From Whakatū, these images and stories will travel north to Pōneke in 2022 to be exhibited alongside others from the series of projects around Aotearoa.
