Sisters of The River, produced by Vincent Burke (Top Shelf Productions), follows the 1992 pilgrimage of more than 70 Sisters of Compassion as they retrace the footsteps of their founder, Mother Mary Joseph Aubert, along the Whanganui river to Hiruharama Jerusalem 100 years after the birth of their order. This documentary covers the pilgrimage and explores the realities of life for the Sisters of Compassion in the ever-changing New Zealand.

Join us after the screening for a Q&A with Sister Sue Cosgrove, one of the many Sisters who made the week-long pilgrimage.

Today, the Sisters of Compassion carry on their work in the spirit of Mother Mary Joseph Aubert throughout New Zealand by providing care to those in need - of all creeds and none. You can read more about their work on the Sisters of Compassion Official Website.

RSVP by 2 August via email: events@compassion.org.nz or phone: (04) 383 7769.
