Noche Flamenca - Music And Dance From Spain

Welcome to the August Noche Flamenca - Spanish Flamenco Night. Let us brighten up your cold winter's night with passionate Live Flamenco Guitar, Song and Dance featuring Krasna Martinic (Dance and Song); Oden Pemberton (Flamenco Guitar) Maria Elena (Flamenco Guitar and Song) & guests. We’ll take you back in time briefly as you listen to guitar music by Ramon Montoya (the Father of Flamenco Guitar) and gypsy guitarist Sabicas (who accompanied the legendary gypsy dancer Carmen Amaya) among others. Then it will be back in the here and now with contemporary Flamenco. In this concert we will also be joined by the well-known duo Heartstings. Sasha Witten Hannah (Classical Guitar) and Natarani (Cello) will play their renditions of famous Classical Spanish composers. This event is proudly presented by Flamenco NZ (founded 1993).
