What are the civilisational values that might undergird a human attempt to moderate the rate of climate change and/or provide a basis for life together in the event of radical change in our living environment and our social norms for human living? The issue is bigger than can be addressed in a single discussion but there is no larger issue facing our western and global civilisation. What I say will in part be based on a book by the same name.
