Do the Double!
Our Big Bike Film Night BMX ‘Double Feature’ films ‘The Source Park’ and ‘Revolution Day: The Chase for the Biggest Trick in Action Sports History’ showcase the motivation, the devotion, and what it takes to follow your passion, in dreaming BIG.
We're stoked, No, super stoked to be presenting these two epic feature-length documentaries side by side.
The Source Park (Runtime: 1 hour 30 minutes)
This is a story of 2 brothers, Marc and Richard Moore who started a BMX shop in Hasting, England in 2003. Through dedication, they’ve grown ‘The Source’ into a true family business. Building quirky DIY projects over the years, they face their biggest challenge, to build the world's largest underground BMX and skatepark inside a space that has laid derelict for 18 years
Revolution Day (Runtime: 1 hour 10 minutes)
Nailing the quad backflip on a BMX, one of the biggest tricks in action sports history, catapulted Taupo based BMX rider Jed Mildon into global stardom in 2015. This film chronicles Jed’s and American rival James Foster’s quest to become the first-ever to complete a quadruple backflip on a BMX bike. As would be expected, the nine-month project took a heavy toll on both riders’ bodies and landing a fourth proved to be a bigger project than anyone involved had expected.
Screening kicks off at 6:00pm,
Run Time 175 Minutes and includes an interval between the two films.
Rating: E (Exempt) but please be aware there is course language in these films
