East coast artist Pru Davies was born to paint and has the ability to turn her hand to any medium she fancies. An Ilam Fine Arts graduate, her artistic sensibilities nurtured and encouraged from the cradle to the healthy obsession of today. As a descendent of prominent 19th century artist Kennett Watkins, Davis’ family ancestry is criss-crossed with artists from one generation to another.

‘My latest exhibition of landscapes is based on the immediate and localised environment where I have lived for many years. These areas are all special places that I know and love, and I strive to capture some of the wild, rugged and beautiful energy that exists here. Featured in some of these works is the connective qualities between the natural and spiritual world that I see everyday and have endeavoured to capture on canvas.’
