In this workshop, you’ll explore dining at Giverny, with all new recipes from the cookbook Monet's Palate. Dr. Wendy Joyce, PhD in art history and French studies from Princeton University, will talk you through the connections between Claude Monet, his art and his love of food. You'll learn more about Monet's engagement with food by watching excerpts of the DVD associated with the cookbook and narrated by Meryl Streep.
Then you’ll learn the secrets of making a good stock and cook two very French dishes: cheese soufflé, and a hearty, simply delicious onion and tomato soup. After the cooking, sit down and enjoy the meal with some fresh sourdough and a glass of wine.
Note: The material in this class is new for those who've attended our previous Monet classes..
