Alex Ventling, a Swiss-New Zealander and exciting emerging pianist, brings his piano-trio home to New Zealand after six years abroad.

The highly personal and dynamic colours in his compositions deliver a bold statement with European elegance.

In that statement, the exceptional artistry and individuality of each member of the trio is skilfully revealed: sharp interaction, continuous shaping of the moment, risk-taking – amongst beautiful melodies and explosive rhythms.

Through their improvisations it is clear the three are equally as indispensable.
