‘An Oldie But A Goodie’, staged in conjunction with Active Arts, is a 45-minute inter-generational ensemble of poetry recitals, ditties, stories and entertaining bites of performance by rest home and independent living residents of Selwyn Village.
A group of thirteen seniors aged from 72 to 96 will perform a wide range of works by Rudyard Kipling, Katherine Mansfield, WH Auden, Stevie Smith and Shakespeare, as well as residents’ own published work. They’ll be joined by children from Shine School of Confidence for some performances, and plenty of audience interaction will be encouraged!
Directed by Nina Burchett and Fiona Mogridge from Active Arts.
The event is free (but booking is necessary).
