In this swashbuckling pirate movie with a twist (the pirate captain is a beautiful woman!), the action abounds with floggings, peg legs, and eye patches galore. When a French naval officer, Pierre LaRochelle (Louis Jourdan), decides to bring pirate Captain Anne Providence (Jean Peters) to justice, he finds he has bitten off more than he can chew.
