The Great DIY Garage Sale

Following on from a very successful event last year, another Great DIY Garage Sale will be held in Cambridge. Gates will be open for parking from 8am on Sunday 20 October, there’ll be hot food and coffee on sale for all keen early birds, then the garage sale will kick off at 9am.

A wide range of leftover building products from construction sites around the district will be up for sale. Plenty of lucky bargain-hunters will have the chance to buy quality, discounted building materials while doing a good deed for the environment. All items have been donated by Waipā companies and would otherwise have ended up in landfill.

Last year we received nearly 15 tonnes of quality building products from a fantastic group of forward-thinking Waipa companies. Over 500 keen DIYers got their hands on some great deals and around 13 skip bins of product was saved from landfill. We have been working really hard to collect even more product and are looking forward to an even bigger and better event this year.

There will be plenty of larger items on sale so don’t forget to BYO trailer or ute and your own bags and boxes on the day.
