Te Uru Holiday Programme: Enchanted Garden

Join us this Autumn for our Term 2 Holiday Programme: Enchanted Garden, inspired by the diverse wilderness of plants and animals in our West Auckland forests! In these classes we will sculpt birds, make magical trees, and create botanical landscapes through techniques including clay sculpting, printmaking, drawing, painting and more!

Monday 15 April: Sculpt a clay textured bird to place within a twilight forest habitat using acrylic paint then complete with oil pastel highlights.

Tuesday 16 April: Paint a magical tree using modelling compound to enhance bark details and finished with pastel. Add your own invented flying creatures using mixed drawing media.

Wednesday 17 April: Create an enchanted garden of printed botanical designs and collaged creepy-crawlies on paper. Finish the design with a border of twisty vines using ink wash and pens.

Thursday 18 April: Make a vibrant butterfly/moth collection using ink resist techniques, sculpted clay and a mixed media drawing placed onto a wall mounted display panel.

Suitable for children aged 5-12 years. All materials supplied.
