Make a four-corner kono: Harakeke weaving with Benita Wakefield.

This class is held in at the Rekindle workshop at The Arts Centre (upstairs in the Boys’ High building at 28 Worcester Boulevard).

There are 8 places available. This class is suited to adults.

During this workshop Benita Wakefield (Ngāti Kahungunu, Ngāti Kere, Ngāti Irakehu) will share her love of harakeke weaving or raranga.

Benita will introduce this beautiful resourceful craft, and teach the group how to make a four-cornered kono or basket.

Please bring a pair of scissors, and wear comfortable clothes for working in.
