Rekindle Workshop: Harakeke Weaving for Children

This class is held in the Rekindle Workshop at The Arts Centre, (upstairs in the Boys’ High building at 28 Worcester Boulevard).

During this workshop – an introduction to a wonderful resourceful and traditional craft – Adrian will share his love of harakeke weaving or raranga. The group will learn how to weave through a project to suit beginners - such as making flowers from flax or a fish. They will also learn some of the basic concepts of tikanga and hear stories.

This class is suitable for children 8 years and above. Children must be supervised.
Please wear comfortable clothes for working in.
