One Day Ahead is an inspiring film about 8 ordinary kiwis united by an interest in cycling, a unique experience with mental health and desire to raise funds for the Mental Health Foundation New Zealand.
This is a Community fundraising event. All proceeds will go to the NZ Mental Health Foundation.
Tickets available https://www.trybooking.co.nz/BAF ($10 student/Gold Card, $20 general).
The film will be followed by a Q&A session. Special guests include Jonathan Douglas (organiser of the tour), Mike Conza (tour rider) and mental health support organisations from Dunedin.
Nearly 50% of New Zealanders will experience a mental illness in their lifetime. If not yourself, someone you know will at some point feel alone or won't be coping. No one should ever feel ashamed of who they are or how they feel.
The Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand aim to increase awareness about mental health so that people feel comfortable to ask someone for help. They also work hard to reduce stigma and discrimination associated with mental illness, in addition to providing free support, training and resources to people going through a difficult time, or those supporting someone through a difficult time.
Please show your support by coming along.
With special thanks to the University of Otago, OUMSA, Cycle World and Media Works Dunedin for supporting this event.
